DNS Reports

DNS Reports offer users the ability to download reports in various formats such as JSON, EXCEL, CSV, and PDF adding flexibility and convenience. To generate stats, simply select files in the input file box and click the update button.

General Stats

The General Stats section provides an overview of key metrics related to DNS traffic. It includes details such as the total request bytes, request packets, request timeouts, total requests, response bytes, response errors, response packets, total responses, total packets, and the number of truncated requests. These statistics offer insights into the overall DNS activity.

Distribution (in packets)

This section offers a detailed breakdown of the distribution of DNS packets. It provides additional information on how the DNS packets are distributed, allowing users to understand the packet composition and identify any patterns or anomalies.

Breakdown by Response Code

The Breakdown by Response Code section categorizes DNS responses based on response codes. It includes information on various response codes such as NOERROR (indicating a successful query), NXDOMAIN (domain does not exist), and SERVFAIL (server failure).

Breakdown by Resolved Domain-Name/Hostnames

Resolved domain names are shown in order by (highest or lowest) number of queries and number of responses. Can filter hostnames by subdomain or second level domains by using the search bar. These hostnames can be saved as CSV, JSON and PDF formats.
