The Interactive Search feature enables you to categorize captured traffic data by utilizing IP addresses, port numbers, protocols, and regular expressions. This data can then be visualized as a Nodal Graph, providing detailed information for each node.

WorkFlow/Steps

There are two methods to search the PCAP files.

  • Search by File

  • Search by Date and Time

On the GUI

  1. Choose a PCAP file to search from: Input File

  2. Choose a directory and filename to save the result: Output File

  3. Click on Run Search

  4. Pop-Up alert box with message “Run PureInsight Search” and both input/ output file name. If input/output file names are correct, click OK

  5. When completed, you will see another alert box with message “Search Completed” (Only if 'Disable Rendering' has not been checked)

  6. Nodal Graph will be displayed
