Creating User Account

With QManager, you can manually create user accounts and groups or you can simply upload them. Before creating user accounts, configure ‘Local Parameters’ first ([Configuration] -> [Windows Naming]). Also create a home directory ([Manage Storage] -> [Setup]).

If there are no groups in the system, create a group first before creating users.

Uploading Users

  1. To upload users, you need to upload two files: group and password file.

  2. To upload, click on Choose File and select the files.

  3. Once files are selected, select Permission and click Upload & Create.

  4. You may check users and groups by clicking the links in the top corner. Click on the help link for more examples.
