The following section outlines how to monitor capture progress on the Capture Progress page.

1. Capture Preview

Preview of what is being captured. Information like the protocol/port, IP
address, and other data are displayed. Shows a 10-packet preview of what is being captured in the
selected port.

  • Go Back to Capturing Setup: Goes back to the capture setup page.

  • Open in New Window: Opens in a pop-up window, where you can expand the view such as
    Statistics and Filter Information.

2. Port Action

Each cell represents a single port. It shows the capacity bar and percentage,
current capture file name, and start/stop status for each port.

  • Port # | Mbps: Clicking on this button will show the statics of the selected port in the Statis-
    tics panel.

  • Start Port # Capture: Start capturing on the specific numbered port. The button displayed as
green means that capturing is not in progress.

  • Stop Port # Capture: Stop the current capture progress on the specific numbered port. The
button displayed as red means that capturing is in progress.

3. Statistics

This shows the RMON1-based statistics per port. It also includes counters and
percentage bar graphs.

  • Reset Statistics: Resets the statistics of all ports back to zero. When switched back to zero, the
statistics display will be empty until one of the ports receives a single packet.

4. Filters

The current filter setup, regardless of whether it is activated or deactivated, is displayed in this section. Scroll up or down in the panel to view the rest of the filters.
