Snapshot Mirror
Performing a Snapshot Mirror will produce a copy of the Snapshot in a remote machine. This way, there are multiple Snapshots in different physical locations. Snapshot Mirror allows up to 8 remote hosts for backing up.
There are multiple ways to schedule a snapshot mirror routine.
Host(#) Name
The hostname is the name of the machine in the network. IP Address: The IP address of the host.
Superuser Password
Password for root access. Has to be exact for Snapshot Mirror to succeed.
Remote Path on Host(#)
This is the path that the backup is going to be written on. NOTE that the destination folder has to have READ/WRITE/EXECUTE access for all users.
System Type
Vendor Type: Some vendors have different protocols when doing Snapshot Mirror. Select this one if the remote host is one of those machines.
Other U/Linux System: Applied to most machines and also all QP Series machines when using them as a remote host.
Frequency
Note that it is recommended to use the same frequency settings as Local Snapshot. Hourly: Snapshot mirror routine every 4 hours.
Nightly
Snapshot mirror routine every late night.
Monthly
Snapshot mirror routine on the first day of every month close to midnight.
