QP supports merge port capture. The user can merge port 0 with port1, port 2 with port 3, port 4
with port 5. Other combinations are not supported currently.

Optimized Data Collection: Merge port capture enables the simultaneous monitoring and capture of traffic from specific port pairs. This facilitates the collection of correlated data streams, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of analysis.

Simplified Configuration: The function's straightforward approach to merging port pairs (e.g., 0 with 1, 2 with 3) simplifies the configuration process, ensuring that users can quickly set up their preferred data capture combinations.

Merge Port Capture Setup

To enable merge ports, check ‘Merge Port#’ in the settings panel, then click ‘Save Port # Settings’.

Capture Progress

The [Capture Progress] graphical user interface clearly displays the 'Merge ports' settings. This allows you to easily monitor the throughput of individual ports, even when their traffic is being merged during capture. When the merge port 0 or 1 filter is activated, port 1 becomes deactivated on the Capture Progress page.
